In May 2024, the Green Alliance achieved a significant milestone by launching a water well charity project in South Africa. This project also introduced Africa’s first electric earth-moving machinery, highlighting LiuGong’s innovative approach. By August, the project’s first phase was completed in Mabeskraal, featuring a 150-metre-deep well equipped with a solar-powered pump. The well now provides clean water to over 25,000 households, reflecting LiuGong’s commitment to impactful, long-term solutions.

Throughout 2023, LiuGong consistently reported that over 10% of its monthly international sales were electric products. In addition, 27 targeted projects addressed issues such as VOCs and welding fumes, successfully reducing emissions. LiuGong’s photovoltaic initiatives are expected to generate 52 million kWh annually, contributing to its zero-pollution goals. Building a Sustainable Supply Chain
LiuGong integrates sustainability into its supply chain by adopting green procurement practices and prioritising eco-friendly materials. From reducing single-use packaging to implementing energy-efficient policies, the company ensures sustainability is embedded in every step.
The SRM digital platform has saved 4.3 tons of paper annually, while a cloud-based collaborative tool supports real-time interaction with over 1,500 suppliers, boosting efficiency and aligning with sustainability goals.
