FPT, a global leader in technology services, has announced the opening of its first office in Sweden, marking a significant step in its European expansion strategy. The new office, located in Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, positions FPT at the heart of one of Sweden’s leading innovation hubs, home to over 375 major companies in sectors such as automotive, energy, and manufacturing.

This strategic move is aimed at capitalising on Sweden’s growing demand for advanced digital services and high-quality IT professionals. With a particular focus on key areas like healthcare, automotive, banking and finance, and green transformation, FPT is poised to enhance its local presence and delivery capabilities across the Nordic region.

    Strategic Location in Gothenburg

By establishing its office in Lindholmen Science Park, FPT is positioning itself closer to industry giants such as Volvo Group, Ericsson, SAAB, IBM, and Telia. This strategic location allows FPT to strengthen its local partnerships and tap into new growth opportunities across sectors where digital innovation is driving change.

Dr. Truong Gia Binh, Founder and Chairman of FPT, stated, “Sweden is globally recognised for its leadership in digital transformation and innovation. The country’s proactive approach to addressing its digital skills shortage through international collaborations makes it an ideal location for FPT to expand its European footprint. Our new office will serve as a bridge, enabling Nordic businesses to innovate and grow through cutting-edge technologies and comprehensive solutions.”

    FPT’s Expansion in Europe

Since entering the European market in 2008, FPT has experienced significant and rapid growth across the region. The company now operates in nine European countries, driving digital transformation for more than 150 leading businesses across diverse industries. FPT has consistently expanded its local presence through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, including its acquisition of RWE IT Slovakia in 2014 and French IT consulting firm AOSIS in 2023.

Sweden’s AI-focused strategy and its robust innovation ecosystem are key factors in FPT’s decision to establish an office in the country. FPT plans to build a global workforce of 1,000 professionals over the next three years, dedicated to meeting the demands of the dynamic European market.

    Celebrating Vietnam-Sweden Business Cooperation

FPT’s Sweden office inauguration aligned with the Vietnam-Sweden Business Forum in Stockholm, marking 55 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations. The forum, hosted by the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden, highlighted the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden in areas such as digital transformation, automotive, and energy transition.

H.E. Tran Van Tuan, Ambassador of Vietnam to Sweden, noted, “FPT’s presence in Sweden marks a significant step forward in fostering technological cooperation between our two nations. It also serves as an important bridge for future collaboration between Swedish and Vietnamese businesses, further strengthening the longstanding relationship between our countries.”

    Innovative Solution

As FPT continues to expand its presence in the Nordic and European markets, the company remains committed to providing innovative solutions that drive business growth and success. By leveraging Sweden’s advanced digital ecosystem and its own expertise in technology, FPT aims to contribute to the digital transformation journeys of businesses across the region. FPT’s new office is located at Uni3 by Geely Building, Pumpgatan 1, 417 55 Gothenburg, Sweden.
