The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) has held its inaugural roundtable, bringing together leading technology firms, social media platforms, and digital service providers to address the pervasive issue of online misinformation. This pivotal event, hosted at the DCO headquarters in Riyadh, marks a significant advancement in the organization’s mission to foster a trustworthy and resilient digital information environment.

The roundtable is part of the DCO’s ongoing “Combating Online Misinformation” initiative, which builds on a series of global discussions conducted in 2023. The event saw participation from major stakeholders, including Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and TikTok. These industry leaders gathered to discuss the complexities of misinformation and to explore collaborative strategies for mitigating its impact on the digital world.

The primary aim of the roundtable was to identify the challenges posed by online misinformation and to develop innovative solutions that can help maintain trust and security within digital platforms.
