Pacific Defense is a commitment to modular, open systems architecture positions it as a vital partner in supporting the U.S. Army and international customers.

    Innovative Approach to Military Solutions

Pacific Defense has announced the formation of its team for the US Army’s Critical Modular Future Force (CMFF) programme. Known for its innovative approach to military technology, Pacific Defense specialises in delivering advanced solutions in electronic warfare (EW), signals intelligence (SIGINT), communications, and command and control (C2) capabilities.

A Commitment to Open Systems Architecture

Travis Slocumb, CEO of Pacific Defense, emphasised the company’s dedication to transforming military systems. “Our company is purpose-built to drive the open-systems change the Army needs,” Slocumb stated. He highlighted that Pacific Defense’s use of modular, open systems architecture enables rapid, affordable, and recurring innovation. This approach is crucial for adapting to evolving threats and integrating new technologies efficiently.

    Streamlining Integration with Layered Standards

The CMFF team will focus on implementing layered standards designed to simplify and expedite the integration of new capabilities. This approach aims to lower costs and address complex integration challenges by eliminating proprietary interfaces. By promoting competition and enhancing technology reuse, the team will facilitate a more effective integration process.

    Expertise in Diverse Capabilities

Pacific Defense’s CMFF team brings extensive expertise to the programme. Their skills include ground and aviation platform design and integration, multi-waveform communications, Type 1 cryptographic implementation, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE). This broad range of capabilities ensures the team can meet the varied requirements of the CMFF programme, providing robust and scalable solutions.

Leading the Way in Modular Open Systems

Pacific Defense is a pioneer in advancing integrated, open mission systems. The company’s work with the C5ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (MOSA) and Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) showcases its leadership in developing flexible and interoperable solutions. With over $100 million invested in its MOSA product base, including both hardware and software, Pacific Defense demonstrates its commitment to integrating advanced systems for U.S. and Five Eyes Alliance customers.

    Enhancing Military Capabilities through Innovation

The CMFF programme presents a significant opportunity for Pacific Defense to further its mission of enhancing military capabilities through innovative technology solutions. By focusing on modular, open systems, the team aligns with the Army’s goals of improving operational effectiveness and ensuring that military systems remain at the cutting edge of technology.

    Commitment

Pacific Defense’s commitment to modular, open architecture will facilitate a more efficient and effective integration of new technologies into military systems. The company’s extensive experience and investment in cutting-edge technology position it as a key partner in supporting the CMFF programme’s objectives.

As the CMFF programme progresses, Pacific Defense remains dedicated to advancing military capabilities through collaboration and technological innovation. The company’s approach is set to enhance operational effectiveness and meet the evolving needs of the Army.
