For a fourth edition, the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) is heading back to İstanbul Expo Center, opening its doors January 6 to 9, 2027. The organisers are aiming for a line-up of more than 500 exhibitors and a crowd of roughly 35,000 sector professionals from upwards of 150 countries, opening new routes for trade and partnership across borders.

Istanbul, Türkiye: January 6 to 9, 2027 will see The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 staged at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM). Organisation of the fair lies with Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc., and support comes from the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).

Bringing together international commerce and Türkiye’s worldwide standing as a carpet producer, the expo will draw sector professionals to Istanbul, from chain stores, interior designers and architects to manufacturers, wholesalers and importers.

Where the carpet world comes to trade

On display for international buyers will be the manufacturing strength, design expertise and strategic geography of Türkiye, and exhibitors will have the chance to enter new markets, establish export connections and build partnerships around the world.

ICFE 2027 is expected to welcome more than 500 exhibitors, along with around 35,000 visitors coming from over 150 countries.

During the fair, exhibitors will have the opportunity to build new commercial relationships with professional buyers from the major carpet and floor covering markets, including Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.

Istanbul as a gateway for trade

Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Istanbul strengthens the global appeal of ICFE with its advanced transport and logistics infrastructure.

An extensive network of direct flights makes the fair easy to reach for professionals worldwide, so exhibitors can tap into many markets at a single venue.

Customs change aims to draw overseas exhibitors

The Directorate General of Customs, part of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, has introduced a notable regulation designed to support the exhibition and attract participants from overseas. Under Türkiye’s customs legislation, the temporary customs duty on products brought in by international exhibitors had been 100% of the FOB (Free on Board) value; that rate has been cut to 10%, exclusively for ICFE 2027.

Close collaboration between public authorities and industry representatives led to the regulation, which is expected to substantially lighten the financial burden on international companies showing high-value products. Organisers also anticipate that it will bring in exhibitors from a wider range of countries and increase the exhibition’s international trade volume.

    Design, ideas and industry dialogue

Alongside the trading activity, ICFE 2027 will host a series of events aimed at encouraging innovation, sharing knowledge and developing the sector.

Carpet Talks, which attracted strong interest in previous editions, is back to bring leading industry figures together to discuss design, production, branding and how the sector is transforming.

The Carpet Design Awards will showcase innovative carpet designs on an international stage, bringing original work to the attention of industry professionals. Visitors seeking inspiration can turn to the Carpet Workshop, whose special concept sees designers from different countries collaborating on production.

Bringing sector professionals together for business

ICFE 2027 offers a trading platform where manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals can explore new business opportunities.

During the fair, attendees will be able to meet new suppliers, follow the latest trends in the sector, hold B2B meetings and expand their international business networks.

With 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries recorded at the previous edition, ICFE 2027 aims to strengthen its position as one of the leading carpet and flooring events worldwide by increasing participation and raising its international profile.
