    UK’s Top 10 Royal-Obsessed Areas you must Visit

    Lincoln Tops the List

    A recent study has identified the UK areas most enamoured with the royal family. Lincoln emerges as the leading city, followed by Bolton and Croydon.

    Lincoln Leads in Royal Obsession

    According to research conducted by the sweepstake casino, Vegas Gems, Lincoln ranks highest for royal fascination. The city boasts an average monthly search volume of 17,524 per 100,000 residents. Notably, Prince William is the most searched royal in Lincoln, contributing 3,148.29 of these searches.

    Bolton and Croydon Follow

    In second place, Bolton shows an average monthly search volume of 16,648 per 100,000 people. Here, King Charles is the most popular member of the royal family, accounting for 3,477.65 searches. Additionally, Croydon ranks third with an average monthly search volume of 16,477 per 100,000 residents. In Croydon, Kate Middleton is the most frequently searched royal, with 4,513 searches.

    Other Notable Cities

     

    Bath: Bath ranks fourth, with an average monthly search volume of 15,766 per 100,000 residents. Furthermore, Kate Middleton is Bath’s most searched royal, totalling 3,189.51 searches.

    • Manchester: Manchester places fifth, recording 15,079 searches per 100,000 people. Prince Harry is the third most searched royal, contributing 1,925.97 searches.
    • Norwich: Norwich follows with 14,852 searches per 100,000 residents. Popular members of the royal family in Norwich include King Charles and Prince William, with searches of 2,539.56 and 2,363.15 respectively.
    • Peterborough: Peterborough holds seventh place with 14,024 searches. King Charles is the top searched royal in this city, with 2,602.33 searches.
    • Bournemouth: Bournemouth is eighth, with 13,788 searches per 100,000 residents. Notably, Kate Middleton is the most searched royal in Bournemouth, totalling 2,772.51 searches.
    • Bristol: Bristol ranks ninth with an average monthly search volume of 13,662 per 100,000 people. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the most searched royals in Bristol, with 1,861.23 and 950.74 searches respectively.
    • Wakefield: Wakefield completes the top ten with 13,273 searches. Here, King Charles and Kate Middleton are the most popular royals, with 2,463.57 and 2,363.36 searches respectively.

    Oxford Least Royal-Obsessed

    Interestingly, Oxford is identified as the least royal-obsessed city, with the lowest average monthly search volume of 1,879 per 100,000 people.

    Kate Middleton Most Searched

    The study also reveals Kate Middleton as the most searched royal across the UK, with a staggering average of 1,345,495 monthly searches.

    Josh Lingenfelter, spokesperson for Vegas Gems, commented: “It’s fascinating to see how the royal family influences different regions across the UK. Over the past few years, royal news has become a significant conversation topic on social media, likely due to popular TV dramas like The Crown. Additionally, it’s noteworthy that cities further from London, such as Lincoln and Bolton, are leading in royal searches.”
