Go Global Retail has announced the successful acquisition of HATCH Collection, a leading premium maternity fashion brand, through its Janie and Jack Holdings, Inc. platform. This strategic acquisition follows Go Global’s 2021 purchase of Janie and Jack from Gap Inc., further strengthening its portfolio in the retail industry. Since the acquisition, Janie and Jack has enhanced its digital capabilities and significantly expanded its omnichannel presence on a global scale.

HATCH Collection: A Leader in Maternity Fashion

Founded in 2011, HATCH Collection has set the standard in premium maternity fashion, offering stylish, functional designs for women during and after pregnancy. HATCH’s platform also includes beauty and wellness essentials, alongside educational content through its popular editorial platform, Babe. The brand has cultivated strategic wholesale partnerships with over 200 retailers and operates two retail stores in New York, where it also hosts community events. Its flagship e-commerce platform continues to thrive, making it a well-rounded offering for the modern mother.

Strategic Growth for Go Global Retail

Jeff Streader, Founder and Managing Partner of Go Global Retail, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating: “The acquisition of HATCH aligns perfectly with our goal of expanding our portfolio for modern mothers. By incorporating HATCH into our brand family, we aim to enhance the overall customer experience while positioning ourselves for continued growth. Our customer-centric strategy guides all our mergers and acquisitions, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our consumers.”

Mo Beig, President and CFO of Janie and Jack, shared similar sentiments: “Integrating HATCH into the Janie and Jack family allows us to connect with mothers from the earliest stages of parenthood, fostering deeper customer loyalty and increasing lifetime value. This acquisition bolsters our ability to meet the rising demand in the maternity market, while simultaneously elevating both brands.

    A New Chapter for HATCH

Rosie Rothrock, Chief Marketing Officer of HATCH, also shared her excitement: “This is a pivotal moment for HATCH as we begin a new chapter. Our mission and values align seamlessly with those of Janie and Jack. Together, we are in a stronger position to support women through their journey into motherhood.”

The acquisition was financed through Janie and Jack Holdings in collaboration with a senior secured credit facility from MidCap Financial, a commercial finance company that specialises in middle-market transactions. This financial partnership highlights the robust investment backing Go Global Retail’s growth strategy.

    Expanding Reach Across Both Brands

Janie and Jack currently operates approximately 120 retail locations across the U.S. and offers an extensive range of apparel, footwear, and accessories through its online store. It will continue operating from its San Francisco headquarters, while HATCH will maintain its base in New York. By acquiring HATCH, Go Global Retail continues to expand its offerings and strengthen its position in both the maternity and children’s fashion sectors.

As the demand for premium maternity wear continues to grow, this acquisition represents a significant step toward meeting the evolving needs of modern mothers while elevating the presence of both Janie and Jack and HATCH in the market.
