The Nikita Bier consulting fee of $15,000 for a 30-minute video call is drawing attention after users on X discovered the former head of product at Elon Musk’s social media company was selling personalised advice through a platform called Intro.

Bier, 37, stepped back from his role at X earlier this month but still advises the company, according to Intro’s listing. Only venture-backed startup founders qualify to book a session.

Sessions are priced at $7,500 per 15 minutes, with a 30-minute minimum, bringing the cost of a single call to $15,000. Topics covered include startups, growth, investing, virality, and how to raise capital, with at least three questions permitted per session.

The Intro website states users will ‘find value in your first session or your money back.’ Bier and Intro did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

    Who is Nikita Bier?

Bier’s track record gives some context to the Nikita Bier consulting fee. He has sold two startups to major technology companies and led both to the number one spot on the App Store.

In 2017, Facebook, now Meta, acquired tbh, his anonymous polling app for teenagers, for an undisclosed sum reportedly around $30 million. He later built Gas, an anonymous compliments app, which Discord acquired for an undisclosed sum in 2023.

After those exits, Bier joined Lightspeed Venture Partners as product growth partner before launching Explode, a mini-app built into Apple’s Messages service that lets users send disappearing messages.

He became head of product at X in 2025, having publicly asked Musk for the job in a post from 2022. Bier claims he oversaw 30 new product launches during his time in the role.

His tenure was not without controversy. The European Commission fined X in December under the Digital Services Act, citing the platform’s blue check mark system as deceptive, among other complaints. Bier subsequently accused the Commission of violating X’s advertising rules and said in a post that its ad account had been terminated.

Intro platform and the Nikita Bier consulting fee

Intro was founded in 2020 by Raad Mobrem, who had previously sold his startup Lettuce to Intuit. Mobrem said on the company’s website he was inspired to launch the platform during the pandemic when he ‘wished that I could jump on a video call with a world class interior designer, show them my project, and get their quick advice.’

Bier is not the only high-profile name on the platform. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and Andrew Chen, a partner at venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, also offer paid calls through Intro.

The Nikita Bier consulting fee has proved a talking point across X, where his profile built up considerable visibility during his time running product at the company.
